The Aqua Classic Commercial range of sewage treatment plants are unique in that they are housed within our high-strength precast concrete tanks making them much easier to install than plastic tanks. The range does not usually require any concrete surround or base, and will not collapse in the ground as plastic tanks can! It can be installed above or below ground and can be designed to have very long desludging intervals of up to 10 years!

The Aqua Classic utilizes the ultra-reliable MBBR treatment process Which is renowned for its reliability and is simple to operate and maintain.

All our commercial systems are manufactured to suit your site and we work with you the customer to design a system that is exactly what your project requires.

The Aqua Classic utilizes MBBR technology which is famous for its reliability and efficiency.

Stage One

Wastewater enters the first chamber/s and the treatment process begins, this first stage acts like a traditional septic tank and it also stores any settled sludge produced, the size of this chamber determines the desludging frequency of the system.

Stage Two

By gravity the effluent flows into the next chamber/s and this is where the main treatment takes place. Millions of aerobic bacteria grow on specially selected plastic media which have a density to ensure that they can move around the chamber ensuring optimum treatment. These bacteria are our friends ! they remove the harmful nutrients from the wastewater and the only things they ask for are nutrients and air ! The air is provided by a highly efficient air blower which is housed above ground in a discreet kiosk and blows the air into a manifold which in turn distributes the air to specially selected diffusers.

Stage Three

For the third stage , the treated water flows into a settling chamber where any suspended solids are allowed to sink to the bottom and be returned back to chamber one for storage, this is commonly referred to as sludge return.

Of course this is a simplified description of the process and in certain cases where discharge consents require we can add on additional technologies to treat to an even higher effluent standard.
